Regular Oil

The most important maintenance you will ever do on a car, at the lowest price we can do it properly. We drain the old oil, fit a new filter, and refill with premium conventional oil rated API SP.

Re-refined means used oil collected, taken back to base stock and rebuilt, using roughly a third of the energy of oil refined from crude. It is the greener choice as well as the cheapest. If your engine needs a synthetic, we will tell you and put in the right one instead.

High Mileage Oil

Carries seal conditioners that swell aged gaskets and seals back toward their original fit, which slows the minor seepage engines develop over time. It also runs extra detergent to keep sludge and deposits under control.

Most drivers move to it as the engine accumulates distance, though there is no threshold at which it switches on. If you are topping up between changes or seeing spots on the driveway, ask us about it. Stocked in 5W-30 and 10W-30.

Synthetic Blend

Part synthetic base stock, part conventional. It flows better than conventional on a cold Brampton morning and holds its viscosity better once the engine is hot, without the full synthetic price.

This is a blend, not a full synthetic, and we label it that way deliberately. If your manufacturer specifies a full synthetic, this tier will not satisfy that requirement and we will move you up.

Full Synthetic

Synthetic base stocks are built to a far more uniform molecular size than conventional oil. That uniformity is why they behave predictably at minus twenty-five and at full operating temperature, and it is why the drain interval stretches to 10,000 km.

Turbocharged and direct-injection engines in particular need an oil tested against low-speed pre-ignition, which is what this delivers. Any engine can run a full synthetic in the viscosity it specifies, including engines whose manual only asks for a regular oil. The ultra-thin grades some newer hybrids and Toyotas require cost more to buy, so 0W-16 is $119.99 on a 4-cylinder and $129.99 on a 6-cylinder, and 0W-8 is $129.99 and $139.99.

Euro Full Synthetic

European manufacturers do not just specify a viscosity, they specify an approval number. Using an oil without that approval is exactly what gives a dealer an argument at warranty time, which is why this tier exists as its own product rather than as a grade of the one above it.

Tell us the year, make and model and we will look up the approval your car needs, then confirm we have it in stock before you drive over. If we do not, we will say so rather than pouring something close.

How our pricing works. Prices are set by engine size, 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder. Pickup trucks are priced on a separate page. If your engine needs an ultra-thin grade such as 0W-16 or 0W-8, it costs more, and you will hear the exact number before we start. Intervals shown are our recommendation for Brampton stop-and-go driving; your owner's manual overrides us and we will follow it. All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to HST.

Your warranty survives this

The most common reason a leased or financed car goes back to the dealership for an oil change is fear of voiding the powertrain warranty. That fear is misplaced, but it depends on two things being true, and we make sure both are.

One: the oil meets the manufacturer's specification. Not close enough. We match the exact viscosity and approval your manual calls for. If we do not stock it, we tell you rather than pouring something similar.

Two: you keep the record. We stamp and date your service book, log the odometer reading, and give you the invoice. That paperwork is what settles the argument if a dealer ever raises one.

A manufacturer cannot require that you service at their dealership in order to keep a warranty valid. They can require that the maintenance was actually done, on schedule, to specification. That is precisely what we document.

Questions we get in the bay

Do I need an appointment?

No. We are a drive-in shop and we do not take appointments. Turn up during opening hours and we will look after you.

How long does an oil change actually take?

Most cars are in and out in about 15 minutes once you are in the bay. Saturday mornings and the first cold snap of the season are the two times to expect a wait.

Will this void my new car warranty?

No, as long as the oil meets your manufacturer's specification and the service is documented. We match the spec and stamp your book. Keep the invoice.

Why might my car cost more than the advertised price?

Two reasons, and we quote both before touching anything: your manufacturer specifies an oil in a higher tier than the one you asked about, or your engine takes a less common grade that costs us more to buy. Either way you hear the exact number before we start.

Is your regular oil recycled?

Yes. Our regular oil is re-refined: used oil collected, stripped back to base stock and rebuilt into usable oil, using roughly a third of the energy of oil refined from crude. On an older engine we will usually point you at High Mileage instead, because the seal conditioners do more for an engine with distance on it.

Can I choose whichever oil I want?

You can always go up. Any engine runs happily on a better oil than it needs, so if you want full synthetic in a car that only asks for regular, we will do it. Going down is different. If your manufacturer specifies a full synthetic, we will not put a regular oil in it. That is how warranty claims get denied and it is not worth the twenty dollars.

What do you accept for payment?

Cash, Interac debit, Visa and Mastercard. All prices shown are subject to HST.

Do you handle company or fleet vehicles?

Yes. We run a fleet care program with centralised billing, computerised invoicing, and per-vehicle service history. See fleet services or call and ask for fleet pricing.

What happens to the old oil?

It goes to a licensed re-refiner through our waste oil contractor. Nothing is burned on site and nothing goes down a drain.
